No one is surprised to hear that grades are an important consideration in the college application process. What many families do not realize is that demonstration of leadership skills and quality participation in extracurricular activates can receive equal consideration. Also, good grades are not the whole story. The rigor of the courses on the transcript is evaluated as closely as the grades themselves.
